It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. Various issues cropped up which prevented me from really delving into my first love…writing. Fine tuning this craft is a tedious process. There are days I do not write and I feel it. Kind of like someone who regularly exercises and suddenly stops.
Am currently in the process of editing my historical romance manuscript. I hired an editor who has a great rep. Crossing fingers will find a fabulous agent who believes in my storyline as much as I do.
Am currently keeping a close eye on the election. Am not crazy about the two front runners and am waiting with bated breath to see how the process folds itself out. It’s certainly been a circus.
Am toying with the idea of creating an relationship advice blog…need to get off my laurels and just DO IT.
Discipline is the key and not forgetting my literary roots…..
Well, of course they do! 🙂
Finding the time to write can be quite daunting.
I work full time and well, am the type of writer where I have to be inspired in order to create something.
Writing has been a large part of who I am since I was a pre-teen. I found it as a way to escape my surroundings and create a world which *I* could control.
I found inspiration through “a’ha” moments. Either am depressed, moved, or pissed off. As you can see…. my emotions rule my pen.
Writers are either internally or externally inspired, maybe even both, as is the case with myself. Books, music, and every day life will activate my imagination. Sometimes it pains me when I can’t write something down.
My blog is not always grammatically correct, and that’s ok. I don’t seek perfection through these electronic pages. What I write down here is a temporary moment in time, partly defines me, sometimes not.
Writing is as essential to me as breathing.
I cannot let it go.
I see that since I have extended my blog out to several servers am now receiving additional subscribers.
Thank you for adding me to your reading must have’s. 😉
In all seriousness, thank you and if there are any topics you’d like to see covered please feel free to leave a comment or PM me.
Off to the East Coast….and Canada. Looking forward to putting yet another state to place under my belt putting my travels at 40. Passport is packed and ready to visit Canada again. Years ago I was there (near Niagra Falls)…..excited….had a long ass week with my regular 9-5 and then drill.
Going to work on my 61 page officer packet….seeking a direct commission in the health services field. Something I wanted to enter for years.
I wish everyone a wonderful week…sorry haven’t updated my blog in awhile, but plan to be more productive once I return. 😉
I will be attending Warrior Leadership Corse (WLC) for two weeks starting July 6th, and will not have access to the Internet. (Talk about withdrawals). Everyone can check out previous postings from years gone by. Hopefully I will return thinner and with a kick ass attitude. 😉
For those of you who follow my blog I will be away for a few days enjoying the tropical sun and getting away from these crazy Midwestern Temps….so enjoy reading past postings!
As I sit here with my dog on my lap I ponder upon an antithesis of the writing realm….grammar.
It’s a love/hate relationship. I can look back at some vintage posts and wince at the fundamental elements of my writing style glaring back at me and I am like…really?
Sure I can save it as a draft but then I get distracted and will forget about it until God knows when.
I don’t know if anyone else bites their nails over this…unless you’re a perfectionist but when you have people continuously reviewing your blog every day it means something right?
Please take a moment to sign the petition to free this beautiful endangered animal. NO animal should be treated in such a dispicable shameful manner.

Thanks American Bedu for taking the time to bring to light this problem. Hopefully it will be freed soon!
Am visiting family the next five days….So enjoy reading previous posts…remember they go back a few years and there is plenty to be had as far as diversity and interest:
After I gave Wendy a bath she started zooming all round the first floor of my townhome like a wound up toy. I am like ??? where in the world can I get that in a pill?
The hardest part in all of this is of course the potty training. Right now it seems a hit or miss thing. I try to time it every two hours but sometimes she catches me by surprise and I end up stepping into a wet puddle. Yeah gross.
But when you have ceramic tile sometimes it is a hit or miss as far as where you are going and she is as quick as lightening when it comes to emptying that bladder or doing errrr….#2. I am getting her to go in the same area to “potty” so that her scent is already there.
Ahhh the things we write on our blogs…..isn’t it grand??
